Author Kim Bettcher:

Kim has been writing books since she was little. After her oldest asked for a book about football that he could read, she took her writing in a new direction. Combining her interest helping kids be active with writing, she wrote, Sam Picks Football, which launched A Way to Play Books! 

Illustrator Sara Weingartner:

Sara has loved creating art all her life. She uses her imagination and adds whimsey when playing with paint, ink and paper. Besides illustrating Sam Picks Football, her portfolio includes illustrating and designing five other picture books: Pig & Toad, Zoonicorns, Bastyberry Village, Saint Paul Winter Carnival Wonders, and the latest book coming out end of 2017; and painting almost 50 corridor pieces that hang in Children’s Hospitals & Clinics in Minneapolis, and in Sioux Falls, SD.
