About the Author

Kimberly Bettcher lives in Minnesota with her husband and three children. She has been writing stories and poems for her own kids for years, and was inspired to write this story when her son asked her for a book about football that was at his reading level. With over 10 years of experience as a program director at a fitness and aquatic center, Kimberly frequently creates programs where kids can find joy in participating in physical activities. This project afforded her an opportunity to combine her lifelong love of sports with her passion for writing books for children.

Sara J. Weingartner grew up loving to create, but it wasn’t until college that she figured out that painting and drawing were her life’s passions. Sara became a professional illustrator and graphic designer almost15 years ago, and has received national recognition for her work. Sara lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband and daughter.
